The first ayah, “Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn,” introduces the theme of seeking Allah’s protection. The subsequent verses detail specific harms: from the evil of what He has created, from the mischief of darkness as it settles, from the evil of those who practice witchcraft, and from the malevolence of envious individuals when they unleash their envy.
